Relations between Plastic Omnium and its internal and external stakeholders must comply with ethical guidelines that are clearly presented in the Code of Conduct. Other commitments have been made through the Company’s participation in the United Nations Global Compact.

Plastic Omnium’s business practices are deployed by people involved on a day-to-day basis with stakeholders, including customers, suppliers and subcontractors, commercial and institutional partners, and journalists. Compliance with the Company’s code of conduct is a prerequisite for exercising this type of responsibility.

Code of Conduct

Distributed to all managers, the Code of Conduct comprises rules that must be followed in all situations. In the document, Plastic Omnium clearly presents its requirements in such areas as health, workplace safety, confidentiality, the protection of corporate assets, and respect for competition rules. In addition to expressing the Company’s core values, environmental priorities and respect for the rule of law, the Code is also seen as a key success driver.

Global Compact

As a signatory of the Global Compact, launched by the UN in 2000, Plastic Omnium releases a report every year on its compliance with the initiative’s ten principles. Derived from such documents as the Universal Declaration of Human Rights and the Rio Declaration on Environment and Development, these principles are grouped in four areas: human rights, labor, the environment and anti-corruption. In line with its commitments, Plastic Omnium has launched a large number of initiatives such as strict rules to govern supplier relations and clear guidelines for preventing corruption, as spelled out in the Code of Conduct.
