From the wheeled
bin...
In 1975 study and research undertaken by Plastic Omnium resulted
in the launch of the first plastic wheeled bin with a lid. It
was a 110 litre bin.
This innovation, which allowed for automatic, hygienic emptying
of household waste into the collection vehicle was to revolutionise
dustmen's working conditions.

the "System P" Services Contract
In the knowledge that its future
was mainly based on customer service, the company developed
a pre-collection system for household waste using plastic
bins and known as "P
System".
Inaugurated in Paris in 1977, this system offers hire contracts
including the study of population requirements, issue, upkeep
and maintenance - washing as an option - of bins, and citizens'
awareness campaigns.
Since the "System P" Service contract, other services are
offered to our clients :

In parallel, in 1986 Plastic Omnium launched Ludoparc, a totally
new concept for children's play areas. Its original feature
is its adaptability and the group of services offered covering
play areas.
Ludoparc SA designs, installs and manages playground equipment.
It is Europe's only provider of a comprehensive range of systems
using a variety of materials for all age groups, from 18 months
to 16 years, and for all types of facilities.
Two years after its acquisition, Ludo France was merged into
Ludoparc SA and is now a company brand.
As the French market leader, Ludoparc SA delivers playgrounds
not only to local communities but also to private companies,
such as France's public housing authority, highway concession
companies, and restaurant chains.
Like the P System services, Ludoparc offers upkeep/maintenance
services on its play areas which guarantee children's safety
and the sustainability of the units, known as the Ludosystem.

Since the first 110 litre model,
the range of Plastic Omnium wheeled bins has grown considerably:
15 models of 2 and 4 wheeled bins are now available, in
sizes from 60 to 1700 litres.
The company's leading position on this market and its ability
to listen to developments in market requirements in view
of increasingly strict legislation regarding household waste
(in France and internationally) have made Plastic Omnium
a market leader in terms of new product concepts. The "System
P Services Contract" has also undergone profound changes
with the arrival of ever more innovative developments. |
