Plastic Omnium

Around the world, people increasingly expect local governments to improve environmental protection, enhance the quality of life and support sustainable development. Plastic Omnium is there with products, services and systems especially designed to help communities meet these challenges.

As a partner and consultant to local authorities, communities and companies, Plastic Omnium Urban Systems delivers end-to-end solutions, backed by services, information systems and collection equipment, in a commitment to optimizing the waste management process.

Following the development of sorted household waste collection solutions and public drop-off points, local communities are now looking to derive maximum benefit from existing systems. This is driving changes in sorting methods and collection volumes, as well as the reorganization of collection schedules. In response, Plastic Omnium now offers a variety of service contracts that deliver highly flexible solutions.
The different service contracts—Système P for wheeled containers, Service Premier for urban furniture and Service Point Tri for public drop-off bins—include door-to-door surveys, installation, maintenance, washing, computerized management and local communication campaigns.
The Citinfo 4 electronic identification system allows for real-time management of container fleets, tracking and upgrading of sorted waste systems, and individual invoicing based on how much or how often waste is collected.

Plastic Omnium offers an extensive lineup of wheeled containers, plus an array of urban furniture and public waste drop-off points, enlarged in 2002 by the introduction of new product including:
> Citybac Plus wheeled bins with exclusive noise-reduction, anti-odor and germicidal features that improve the quality of life for constituents.
> 2,400-liter wheeled bins that are especially well suited for centralizing waste from sorted collection and for collecting waste in thinly populated areas or apartment complexes. The container, which is part of the Citybac Maxi line, allows for collection by a single operator, thereby optimizing waste management costs.
> Citybac Bio, a wheeled container for sorted collection of fermentable waste that helps prepare biodegradable refuse for composting.
> Heavy-duty bins with accessories for use in extreme industrial conditions.

As part of the ISO 14000 certification process, businesses and industries are implementing effective solutions for sorting waste at the source, prior to recycling.
Plastic Omnium has strengthened its positions in the industrial waste segment, with a line of products and services specially adapted to hauling, handling and other logistical constraints in industrial environments. In this way, customers can optimize waste management while complying with prevailing legislation.
The extensive customer portfolio includes companies in the retail, automobile and hospitality industries as well as large manufacturing plants and airports.
