Ethic is a major pilar of Plastic Omnium, confirmed by the Group’s membership since 2003 to United Nations Global Compact. The same year was launched the first internal Code of conduct, today translated in 22 languages.

The Group's commitments are shared by all: respect for the employees, for the environment, confidentiality of data, rejection of discrimination, fraud and corruption.

Suppliers charter


Procedures are constantly updated to enable transparency, ethic and anti-corruption mindset. Code of Conduct, Supplier Code of Conduct, Conduct Code on Compliance with Competition law, these tools are shared worldwide by all Plastic Omnium teams and reviewed during dedicated training courses.

    In 2018,
  • 689 employees have followed a Code of Conduct training course.
  • 200 employees were trained on the competition Code of Conduct.
  • 32 internal audits were conducted.

Last but not least, a whistle blowing procedure has been organized and deployed through the company, available by email or letter:

Any potential supplier is subject to an evaluation audit and if referenced, he is also a signatory of the Group Suppliers Charter. The supplier is expected to comply to the Universal Declaration of Human Rights, the Fundamental Conventions of the International Labour Organization and the guiding principles of the OECD.

    At the end of 2018:
  • 6,660 suppliers had signed the Charter and deployment continues.
  • 208 evaluations were subjected to a CSR audit and 506 to a security assessment.
