- Serviceability and cleanliness are vital in guaranteeing regular use of the waste equipment and improving the image of the authorities responsible. Regular cleaning and/or maintenance services provide the population with clean, operational containers, improving their day-to-day quality of life.
- Maintenance services (preventive or corrective) and cleaning operations extend the service life, and improve the safety for all installed equipment: users feel safer and more confident, and the risks of wear-and-tear, and malfunctions are reduced.
- Well maintained equipment does not need to be replaced as often, which, when faced with ever-increasingly strict budgetary requirements is helpful in optimising on investments in waste management services.
- For more than 40 years, Plastic Omnium Environment has been developing a range of dedicated services for its clients: from changing the worn lid on a wheelie bin; replacing a damaged litter bin; or even ecologically-sound washing and cleaning operations for wheelie bins and more complex products, such as voluntary waste recycling points (e.g. above-ground, semi-underground and underground collection banks, etc.).
- All the cleaning and maintenance operations can be accomplished more efficiently and more quickly with our connected solutions. As long as the containers are identified (RFID chip OptiChip® or a barcode), services can be logged in a ‘paperless’ system, providing total transparency and simple management. Our operatives are all equipped with an OptiPad® portable terminal: they can confirm that the cleaning operation has been carried out for each container and add any comments (e.g. container damaged, wheel or lid worn or missing, etc.). The data is then transferred via GPRS to the centralised Plastic Omnium Control System OptiNet®, which, after analysis, will then forward a report to the local authority, listing the operations completed and those to be programmed.
